On today’s Q&A minisode of the podcast, I answer two big and beautiful questions: how to hear our intuition over loud brain chemistry, and how to work with spiky cards (like Three of Swords and The Tower) when they come up in readings about the future.

Welcome to August, Wild Souls! It is the two month anniversary of the podcast, and we are officially back from break with a new episode lineup, and lots of exciting announcements.
The theme of August is Transformation. It is a profoundly powerful cycle, one that has the capacity to totally change our lives. July’s Eclipse portal took us out into the void of the unknown, confronting us with all of the systems, beliefs and constructs of our lives that are no longer working for us. Now we get to come back to the world and shift from an internal knowing to an external reality.
We cannot have an external shift before the internal work has been done. It has been a frustrating cycle for many of us, because the external and internal have not matched for so long. August is where that will begin to change.
The transformation in August is powerful. It is a lasting change, one that will likely move very quickly. It is wise to be gentle with yourself, prioritize nourishment and pleasure, and trust your knowing.
Wild Soul Collective Tarot Reading for the month of August:
CARD OF THE MONTH: Eight of Cups
WHAT WE ARE BEING INVITED TO PAY ATTENTION TO: Five of Pentacles
WHAT IS HAPPENING UNDER THE SURFACE: Six of Pentacles
LESSON OF THE MONTH: The World
WHAT ARE WE CLEARING?: Three of Swords and The Moon
WHAT ARE WE STEPPING INTO?: Eight of Wands
ASTROLOGY FOR August:
August 8th: Lion’s Gate Portal
August 11th: Jupiter Direct/Uranus Retrograde
August 15th: Full Moon in Aquarius
August 23rd: Sun enters Virgo
August 30/31st: New Moon in Virgo

To say that July is a transformative month is an understatement. July is a portal, one that contains energetic opportunities and invitations that will initiate massive paradigm shifts, collectively and individually. We will be feeling the effects of this month for generations to come, so it is one to be very present for. We are recalibrating to the highest extent, supported by the Eclipses and a very powerful Mercury Retrograde in Leo, rooting down in order to rise up.
Most of us are walking around with no connection to our roots. Some of us draw root power from attaching to the roots of other things, and other folks. July is offering us the opportunity of a lifetime: to reclaim our inner space, our true root connection, in order to expand like we never have before. To do this, we have to look at the way we support ourselves, our relationship with balance and equilibrium, and our connection with our deeper purpose. This work is crucial, not only to our continued evolution, but to the survival of the planet, and all its living beings.
Wild Soul Collective Tarot Reading for the month of July:
MEDICINE OF THE MONTH: The Emperor
WHAT WE ARE BEING INVITED TO PAY ATTENTION TO: The Magician and Seven of Wands
LESSON OF THE MONTH: Ace of Swords
WHAT WE ARE RELEASING: Queen of Pentacles
THE SEEDS WE ARE PLANTING/NEXT CYCLE: King of Cups
TEACHER: Seven of Cups
ASTROLOGY FOR JULY:
July 2: New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer
July 7: Mercury Retrograde in Leo
July 16: Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn
July 23: Sun moves into Leo
July 31: New Moon in Leo/Mercury Direct

June is a gateway month, presenting us with radical opportunities to receive, inviting us to trust in the space, alignment and sweetness that will present themselves to us. What is our relationship to space? To the idea of “doing nothing?” What are our beliefs about productivity? We are cultivating greater comfort with ease and grace, allowing our nervous system to get used to that alternate rhythm of life. Although our cards and medicine for the month are very sweet, June might feel contractive to some of us. This is appropriate, since we are most certainly building new paradigms with this work. Our stories about what is valuable or superfluous might get shaken up. The invitation of the month might contradict our beliefs about what we believe we have to accomplish/get done.
The truth is that we are heading into the zenith of this Empress/Hanged Man year, a year that is here to teach us to become more comfortable with spacious receiving. This is an energetic invitation that will be with us through the summer, that is most definitely ramping up now. We are clearing out the heaviness, and calling in all that fills our cup, embracing radical spaciousness.
(And on the topic of radical spaciousness, Tarot for the Wild Soul will be going on summer break! We will be back with Season Two of the podcast on September 1st!)
Wild Soul Collective Tarot Reading for the month of June:
MEDICINE OF THE MONTH:
Six of Cups
WHAT WE ARE BEING INVITED TO PAY ATTENTION TO:
Six of Wands
LESSON OF THE MONTH:
Ten of Wands
WHAT WE ARE RELEASING:
The Tower
The Hermit
THE SEEDS WE ARE PLANTING/NEXT CYCLE:
Six of Pentacles
TEACHER:
Justice
ASTROLOGY FOR JUNE:
June 3: New Moon in Gemini
June 9: Venus moves into Gemini
June 17: Full Moon in Sagittarius
June 21: Summer Solstice/Sun moves into Cancer/Neptune Retrograde (in Pisces)
